Only A Memory (2026) — Original Mixed Media

Only A Memory is an original mixed-media work exploring the fragmented and shifting nature of memory. Human and animal-like forms emerge and overlap within layers of warm color, loose line, and translucent marks, creating a scene that feels familiar without becoming entirely knowable.

Soft ochres, muted reds, greens, and earthy neutrals move through the composition as figures appear to drift into and through one another. Some forms are immediately recognizable while others remain ambiguous, echoing the way memories can preserve certain details while allowing others to blur, change, or disappear.

Part of the Root & Bloom collection, Only A Memory reflects on connection, origin, and what we carry with us. Its overlapping forms suggest the way people, places, experiences, and memories can become intertwined—continuing to shape us even as their details begin to fade.
